70th Anniversary of Buchenwald Liberation

From April 10 to April 13, 2015, there will be a 70th anniversary observance of the liberation of Buchenwald. Many survivors and guests will come, as well as the U.S. Ambassador, and perhaps members of the Patton family.

We would be very pleased if members of the 6th Armored Division could participate, since the Super Sixth played a decisive role at the liberation of the camp.

We are hoping that Mrs. Leslie Keffer-Rego, daughter of the late Captain Frederick Keffer, of the 9th AIB, might also attend. Capt. Keffer and his patrol were the first members of the US Army to discover and enter the camp. We are in contact with her.
